Erin + Brandon
Erin and Brandon easily chose McCall for their wedding location after countless weekend getaways and having been engaged there. The rugged charm, intimate feel, and friendly camp atmosphere of Pilgrim Cove proved the perfect venue for their festive and casual wedding.
Views of the lake and close proximity to town were huge selling points and the couple loved the ease of walking from ceremony to reception. The relaxed mood was set immediately as guests were guided to the day’s events by hand painted signs, rustic farm tables, and wine barrels.
Fresh arrangements of succulents, peonies, and wild flowers enhanced the natural setting by lining the aisle, topping the wine barrels, and adorning the ceremonyarch.
The purposeful décor and lush floral design were the perfect complement to the sprawling Payette Lake backdrop. Beautifully muted, mint dresses paired with vibrant, peach pashminas (a thoughtful gift from the bride to keep the bridesmaids warm on the chilly summer night). Each girl was allowed to select her own style of dress and pair with her favorite sandals.
The men looked dapper in their grey vests and pants- their plaid ties adding a bit of whimsy. Erin’s father walked her down the aisle while Brandon escorted both of his parents.
At the ceremony’s conclusion, guests filed to the adjacent Old Rice building for a cocktail hour on the patio. A table filled with mason jar mugs (and brightly colored, plastic versions for the children) provided guests their glass for the evening and a take home keepsake.
Custom Mad Libs were a huge hit as guests were encouraged to tease the beloved couple. Meanwhile, family and friends were able to come together by enjoying lawn games sprinkled throughout the grounds.
A friend and co-worker at Boise State provided adorable, camp themed graphics and signage for the special day. The seating chart displayed on vintagee windows led guests to tablescapes of custom burlap lace runners, wooden stumps, and gorgeous florals.
Framed menus detailed the buffet and dessert selections. Overhead, café lights and hand-made bunting hung from rafters, building on the festive theme.
The couple’s light-hearted attitude and love for the outdoors where assets when a chipmunk made off with a cupcake and a deer enjoyed some greenery from the ceremony arch!
It was the perfect culmination of the couple’s love for one other and McCall when the bride and groom stole a moment at sunset aboard a vintage canoe.
As the chilly evening progressed, hot cocoa was served and a fire was lit for making S’mores. Dancing commenced beneath a canopy of lights while the DJ kept the dance floor hopping all night long.
The flawless day concluded with sparklers as the couple made their way to Shore Lodge. The celebration continued the next morning when family and friends met at the Pancake House for a “good bye breakfast”, sending Erin and Brandon to a week-long Bahamas get away!
